With an IT career shaped around GNU/Linux systems and web application development, Doruk has more than 25 years of professional experience under his belt. He's one of the co-founders of Ozgur Yazilim A.S., a company offering products and services using free and open source software in Turkey nationwide with offices in Istanbul and Ankara. He's also an active member of the free software community. As a member of Turkish Linux Users Association (LKD), he has assumed responsibility for many volunteer work, including being the chairman of the community for two years. He was also an active contributor for Pardus in the 2000s, one of the most important free software projects in Turkish history.
