Currently coordinating or leading a portfolio of Research and Innovation projects funded under the Horizon Europe programme for WEglobal consultancy services, M. Ali Türker carried out his undergraduate and graduate studies in Middle East Technical University and later, PhD studies in Tampere University of Technology, all in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Early in his career, he was a part of the team that established a signal processing laboratory at the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey and later he worked on mobile video and digital TV at Nokia Research Center where he produced a number of US patents. After 1999 he worked on R&D positions, first at Garanti Bank (the largest private bank in Turkey) then in Siemens Business Services. While in Garanti Bank he was also a technical consultant to the Dogus Group which then held nation’s leading companies in retail, automative and media industries. After FinTech he moved on to EdTech and directed R&D activities at SEBIT (largest EdTech company in Turkey) for 20 years. He was a columnist at the largest print IT news magazine in Turkey for 10 years and he lectures a graduate course on Complex Adaptive Systems (since 2005), currently at TOBB ETU Computer Engineering Department. He is a co-founder of the Institute for Future Research, has a Professional Project Manager degree and more than 50 academical publications.
